Quality Management Initiatives
KYB is strengthening its quality audit system to thoroughly prevent quality-related misconduct, and aiming to create a corporate culture of open communication.
We are increasing workplace communication by conveying information on "Bad News" or concerns related to quality, then taking steps and improving based on the information and launching initiatives to properly deal with the matters, then providing feedback to the reporter in the form of reports and replies.
Quality Assurance System
We have established and are operating a quality assurance system that complies with the ISO9001 standard, which places emphasis on "product quality" and "service quality" as well as "work process quality," and we strive to improve these qualities on a daily basis.
At KYB, we have adopted the concept of process assurance and are implementing a three-stage evaluation on a product-by-product basis, which evaluates the product in three steps from advanced development to the start of production. We are working to pursue quality conditions that meet the quality requirements of our customers and the market, and to improve our technological capabilities to achieve target costs. Evaluation meetings at each step are held with the participation of experts on the product in question, and deliberations are held based on the evaluation items and content, reflecting the wealth of knowledge gained from past defects and extensive experience with the product.
To maintain quality globally, we are also implementing various quality improvement measures under the leadership of the presidents and plant managers at our overseas production sites, working to reduce quality defects and promoting the appropriate implementation of a three-stage evaluation system. Furthermore, even when producing single, small lot orders or when we transfer production bases, we follow this system to guarantee the quality of mass-produced products.
