KYB Corporation introduced VI-grade’s driving simulator, the COMPACT FSS, to the KAYABA OPEN LAB., a collaborative innovation hub located within its Sagami Plant, in September 2026.
KAYABA OPEN LAB. provides an environment designed to foster “innovation through chemical reactions” by bringing together diverse people, technologies, and expertise from both inside and outside the company. Its purpose is to integrate KYB’s core technologies with advanced evaluation and analysis capabilities, creating new opportunities for research and development.
COMPACT FSS is an advanced platform that bridges technology and human perception by accurately reproducing and enabling users to experience a vehicle’s motion, vibration, and sound. By combining objective driving simulation data with drivers’ subjective feedback, the system enables KYB to evaluate how its suspension and steering technologies influence overall vehicle performance. This capability accelerates the development of solutions that enhance next-generation ride comfort and vehicle refinement.
By leveraging COMPACT FSS, KYB will further advance technology development from the perspective of driver users and continue striving toward the realization of its long-term vision.
