Together with Sit-Skiers

Takeshi Suzuki, Sit-Skier, KYB Corporation

In the early 1990s, we started to undertake the development of shock absorbers for sit-skis due to their similarity in shape to rear cushion units for motorcycles.
As an official sponsor/supplier of the NPO Japan Para-Ski Federation's Alpine Skiing National Team, we engage in product development and technological support for sports equipment used by the Japanese team's alpine skiers.
Also, we also hold lectures based on our own experiences at elementary, junior high, and senior high schools as well as welfare facilities and other places, and focus on activities aimed at creating a society which recognizes diversity.

Contributing to the community through the JLPGA Legends Tour
In support of the purpose of the senior tour sponsored by the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association (JLPGA), we held the "Kayaba Legends Open" in October 2024.

Following on from last year, KYB Museum participated in the Kanagawa Science Summer, which is being promoted by Kanagawa Prefecture. The event was aimed at 4th to 6th grade elementary school children, who learned about the fun of science through topics such as Pascal's principle and tribology, front attachment of excavator using syringes, and then experienced operating a 2-ton mini excavator and observing diatomaceous earth at the nano level using an electron microscope. The event was packed with events that the children enjoyed as summer vacation memories.
